Given the game’s marketing partnership with PlayStation 4, count on Call of Duty: WWII being showcased at Sony’s conference on the evening of June 12.

#IGN E3 2017 GAME LIST SERIES#
Given that the series hasn’t delivered a WWII-set campaign since World at War back in 2008 – an entire console generation ago – the prospect of playing through a more grounded, human story is certainly compelling and refreshing. It’s safe to say that a lot of us have recently become fatigued with the future-tech movement that so many first-person shooters have taken ever since Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. While single-player was the focus, multiplayer and zombies modes were both briefly touched upon. Every day leading up to the show, we'll be highlight the stuff we want to see and play at E3 2017. While you can check out our continually-updated Games of E3 List, we're now going to start diving deeper. The reveal focused on the series returning back to its World War II roots, with a campaign focused on a group of American soldiers making their way through France and into Germany. From June 10-15, we'll be covering the biggest games and hardware announcements of 2017 and beyond. There have been a few casting rumors floating around, so a teaser introducing some additional characters is a possibility.Developer Sledgehammer Games debuted Call of Duty: WWII at a live event back in April. Death Stranding debuted at last year’s E3 and it’s being published by Sony, but it’s in such an early stage of development that it’s hard to say what more they could show. Whether or not we’ll see Death Stranding at E3 is really up in the air. Extremely hard though to mix outdated games with modern masterpieces. Be sure to keep track of the entire event's showcases with IGN's E3 2017 press conference schedule and check out IGN's updated list of games at E3 2017. For 250 (150 early pricing), buyers gained access to the show floor for all three days of E3 as well as a new 'E3 Coliseum' where various panels were held (hosted by Geoff Keighley). Earlier today, Ubisoft confirmed that it has four AAA games releasing in the current fiscal year, including Far Cry 5, a new Assassin's Creed, and more.
Minecraft and WoW being outside of top 20 (or 30 even) is bizarre though. On February 8, 2017, the ESA announced that they would sell 15,000 'consumer' badges beginning on February 13th. We don’t know a whole lot about what it's actually about, but from what we’ve seen we can assume it’s going to be weird, it’s going to be original, and it's probably going to have some interesting things to say about war, which is Kojima at his best - not to mention all the incredible talent behind it. Well at least TLoU wasn’t number one and Undertale is in the top 20 so I’m kinda happy with that list. Seeing Death Stranding unfold as a concept is an exciting one even in its earliest stages. Kojima has never really let us down in the past when it comes to creating fantastic action games full of depth and imagination. Why We're Hyped for Death Strandingĭeath Stranding is Kojima’s first project post-Konami and also the first game he’s directed outside of the Metal Gear Solid series in a very long time, so we’re really looking forward to seeing what he does with these new freedoms. In an interview with Geoff Keighley, Kojima also unveiled the Decima engine, which his studio Kojima Productions has been developing for Death Stranding alongside Guerrilla Games. Kojima implied the lyrics of the song were significant to the trailer. The new version contained a vocal track by Low Roar, the band who did the song in the first Death Stranding teaser. Kojima played an alternate version of the trailer starring Guillermo del Toro and Mads Mikkelsen, which we originally saw at The Game Awards a few days before that.
The last time we actually saw Death Stranding was at the PlayStation Experience back in December.
